Good morning crafty friends....
It's the start of the new challenge at MAWTT today and I am the host. I also chose 'bees' as the theme as I could picture a female with a bee-hive hairstyle (when I left school I trained and became a qualified hairdresser, I also had my own business at 21) so I think the idea of bees may have come from that haha, although bee-hives had long gone by the time I qualified!
Here is the link to the challenge and I'd love if you would make a quick visit to see the fabulous designs my teamies have produced:
Choosing to set a theme with bees certainly was challenging for me! As I was sure I could buy a very small bee stamp (without resorting to shrink plastic!) and I also thought I wouldn't have a problem with the 'bee-hive' hair.... I was so wrong lol
When my very small bee stamp arrived it was actually a self inking stamp (not described as this) and, when stamped, stamped in red ink!
So I had to draw a bee-hive hairstyle, (I was never any good at art) and a partial face
I did find a small bee stamp in one of the magazine's freebie stamps, although I would have preferred it even smaller
I randomly stamped the flowers using two different shades of yellow inks and coloured the white bits of the bees in yellow

When the front of the card was finished I added it to yellow card showing at both sides only
The inside had more of the yellow card added and a few bees were stamped in the corner. This time no need to colour them!
I also stamped the envelope but I don't think you can tell I've added colour unless you enlarge the picture
The challenge runs until 25 August. I will now 'buzz' away and see you tomorrow!
